MARTHA STEINMAN, 86, of West
Bloomfield, died Feb. 22.

She is survived by her daughters and
sons-in-law, Kay and Ted Tulupman of
Bloomfield Hills, Sharon and Michael
Berkowitz of Oak Park, Barbra Chaitin
of Waterford; son-in-law, Michael
Chaitin; dear friend, Allen Goldsmith;
grandchildren, Susan Tulupman, Rebecca
Smith, Peter (Elizabeth) Tulupman, Amy
(Jared) Chimovitz, Lisa Berkowitz,
Benjamin and Hersh Chaitin; great-
granddaughter, Katie Smith. She was the
beloved wife of the late Abe Steinman.
Services and interment at the
Machpelah Cemetery Chapel.
Contributions may be made to Hospice
of Michigan, 16250 Northland Dr.,
Southfield, MI 48075 or to a charity of
one's choice. Arrangements by the
Dorfman Chapel.

SYLVIA VANE STRAUSS, 87, former

Detroiter of Houston, Texas, died Feb.
19.
She is survived by her husband, Simon
Strauss; children, Richard and Sue Vane,
Gary Strauss, Davida and Robert
Bilgrad, Nadine Strauss, Pierre
Terlinchamp; sister, Hilda Harwood;
brother and sister-in-law, David and
Elaine Polk; grandchildren, Mark Vane
Jennifer Vane, Miriam Terlinchamp, Julia
Terlinchamp, Shane Strauss, Marika
Str'auss, Aaron Bilgrad. She was the
beloved mother of the late Dean Vane.
Contributions may be made to the
Stephen Wise Houston Chapter of
Hadassah or the Houston Holocaust
museum.

We, too, remember all the families we have served.
We thank you for your continuing support, and allowing us to
serve our community. To express our appreciation after our first
year in our new chapel, we have created a bereavement library
to help you through the trying times of loss.
