... seats 130 ... and is
open Monday-
Friday, 6 a.m.-11 p.m.; Saturday and
Sunday, 7 a.m.-11 p.m.
Its bar lounge is called the Bar & Grill
... seating around 50 ... with "flying ham-
burgers" on a wall above the bar area.
Having an executive chef like Mark ...
with his very diversified ways of food
preparation, is important ... Having
someone whose knowledge of food is
such that he can pretty much recognize
the eating habits of his customers is also
significant.
That Mark has chosen the traditional
path for his Crumpets presentations is
very worthy ... There is nothing so good
as an excellent chef who can concentrate
on making his selections the best.
Comfortable dining with food that
people know and readily recognize ...
presented by an executive chef whose tra-
ditional choosing are his methods of sat,
isfaction ... are utmost in good dining.
IF SOPHIA LOREN doesn't have an
interest in the chain's (oops! they don't
like that term) family of restaurants, then
somebody in it with a big share sure
thinks of her as a very, very special friend.
Her picture is all over Buca di
Beppo that opened recently on North
Woodward in Birmingham ... and
there certainly are a lot of them ... in
this and the 73 restaurants from here
to Albuquerque ... all serving immi-
grant Southern Sicilian food on over-
sized platters ... for much family din-
ing-like sharing.
The decor in every Buca di Beppo
restaurant is very entertaining ... with
celebrity, family and humorous pictures
from everywhere filling what seems like
every available wall space.
Tim Kenrich, Paisano Partner for the
Birmingham locale (to become a Paisano
Partner, the person must have a personal
investment in the restaurant he or she is
operating) ... held the same post for two
years at the Livonia site ... and will again
soon go to Italy to take more pictures
for the wall ... A question then arises ...
Where will he put them?
Buca di Beppo is a very interesting con-
cept ... with a lot of value for a lot of food.

Sheridan and to Linda Stinson ... on
their birthdays.
