Bloomfield ... cour-
teous, efficient and
knowledgeable.
ALTHOUGH
THE KOSHER
Milk & Honey
restaurant is being
opened by Matt
Prentice, it will be different from his
other Unique Restaurant Corporation
eateries ... His Jewish Community
Center spot slated soon ... will serve
liquor ... but not to everyone of age.
To get alcoholic beverages at Milk
and Honey, folks must be a Jewish
Community Center member or be
with a JCC member as a guest ...
Those who are not a member of the
JCC will be able to buy a dining
membership for $5.
HARD WORK, QUALITY food
and reasonable prices ... have certainly
paid off handsomely for Como's
Restaurant on Woodward and Nine
Mile Rd. in Ferndale ... The persist-
ence of owners Cecilia Grego and son,
George Grego Jr., in the serving of
good food in their pleasant atmos-
phere ... has not gone unnoticed.
Therefore the crowds willing to
wait, if necessary ... Difficult to beat
much of Como's menu selection ...
The filet with an excellent zip sauce,
is with few equals ... The round pizza
is among the best around ... And the
huge Greek salad is about as good as
it gets.
WHAT PEOPLE TALK About
Dept ... The menu and pricing of 24
years ago on Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday evenings ... celebrating
Excalibur's 24th anniversary
The unbelievable amount of people
who called to volunteer their help fol-
lowing the Jewish News fire disaster
that demolished the entire building ...
A great revelation what this newspa-
per means to so many ... You can be
sure that the Jewish News folks are
mighty appreciative ... with an untold
amount of thanks to everyone.
Thank heavens that because of its
fine dedicated staff of workers, the
Jewish News lost few steps in making
certain that its 60-year tradition of
never missing an issue ... was not
interrupted.
Going through World War II, the
Korean War, the Vietnam War, swasti-
ka waving and painting sickles, a
break-in ... and now this tragic fire ...
again proved the remarkable strength
of Publisher Arthur Horowitz and his
horde of devoted employees.
CONGRATS ... to Dave Goldfine,
former owner of the Clam Shop ... on
