Teen Mission Kickoff Set

The kickoff session for the Fourth
Detroit Teen Mission to Israel will be 5
p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Max M.
Fisher Federation Building in
Bloomfield Township.
The evening will begin with dinner,
followed by an orientation for parents
and participants. Jewish teens entering
grades 10-12 in the fall of 2002 may
sign up for the Teen Mission to Israel,
June 30-July 31.
The cost is $3,600, which includes a
Federation subsidy. All payments are
fully refundable.

Metropolitan Detroit and Detroit area
congregations are Teen Mission 2002
sponsors. Robert J. Gordon is the chair
of the mission and Cheryl Schanes is the
associate chair.
Activities on the mission will include
praying at the Western Wall in
Jerusalem, floating in the Dead Sea,
watching the sunrise over Masada and
meeting Israeli teens from Detroit's
Partnership 2000 region in the Central
Galilee.
