JEAN SHAGRIN, 87, of Boca Raton,

Fla., and Youngstown, Ohio, died Jan. 8.
She is survived by her husband of 67
years, Dr. Seymour Shagrin; sons and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Jerry and Shirley
Shagrin of Bloomfield Hills, Robert
Shagrin of Houston, Texas; daughter and
son-in-law, Susan and Neil Wallach of
Houston; grandchildren, Stacey and Dr.
Brian Sandler, Andrea, Brad, Aaron and
Amanda Shagrin; great-grandchildren,
Erica, Joel and Max Sandler; brother and
sister-in-law, Dr. Milton and Lil Yarmy of
Youngstown.
Services were held in Youngstown.
Contributions may be made to the
Shagrin-Elder-Bail Scholarship Fund,
Temple El-Emeth, 3970 Logan Way,
Youngstown, Ohio 44505 or to a charity
of one's choice.

DAVID SHELDEN, 45, of Bloomfield
Hills, died Jan. 10. He was an architect
and owner of David Shelden Architects
Inc. in Southfield. Mr. Shelden was a
graduate of the University of Detroit with
a degree in architecture.
He is survived by his parents, Dr.
Manuel and Laura Shelden of Bloomfield
Hills and Judith Shelden of West
Bloomfield; brothers and sister-in-law, Dr.
Michael and Kathleen Shelden of
Bloomfield Hills, Jonathon Shelden of
Howell.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to the
Michigan Humane Society or Temple Kol
Ami. Arrangements by Ira Kaufman
Chapel.

HERBERT SILVERMAN, 75, of Oak

Park, died Jan. 8.
He is survived by his sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, David and Rochelle Silverman
of Novi, Scott Silverman of Los Angeles,
Harold and Edna Silverman of Baton
Rouge, La., George and Sarah Silverman
of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren,
Danielle Silverman, Yale Silverman, Robin
Silverman. Mr. Silverman was the beloved
husband of the late Faye Sarah Silverman;
loving brother of the late Yale Silverman.
Contributions may be made to a charity
of one's choice. Services and interment at
Adat Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery.
