Jerome and Laurie Rosenthal of

Beth and Ryan Lescoe, Alan, Eric,
Jill, Rachel, Jennifer, Eryn and
Julie Rosenthal; sister, Goldie
Rieger of Pittsburgh; brother and
sister-in-law, Sigmund and
Dorothy Rosenthal of California.
He was the dear brother of the
late Willie Rosenthal, the late
Harry Rosenthal and the late Joel
Rosenthal.
Interment was at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions may
be made to Adat Shalom

IRVIN GIRER, 81, of Southfield,
died Dec. 23. He was a pharma-
cist. Mr. Girer was the past presi-
dent of the International Society
of Israel Philatelists, past manag-
ing editor of Groups Magazine and
was involved in a variety of phar-
maceutical associations.
He is survived by his wife,
Dorothy Girer; daughter and son-
in-law, Joanne and Howard Lax of
Southfield; grandchildren, David
Michael Lax and Rebecca
Carolynn Lax. Services and inter-
ment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery.

SHIRLEY ROSE GROSS, 75, of
Farmington Hills, died Dec. 21.
She was an executive secretary for
Temple Emanu-El for 34 years.
She is survived by her husband,
Albert "Al" Gross; sons and
daughter-in-law, Stuart Gross of
Albuquerque, N.M., Ken and
Bonnie Gross of Farmington Hills;
grandchildren, Amy Gross and
Jennifer Gross; sister and brother-
in-law, Rita and Dr. Donald
Stillman. Mrs. Gross was the

mother-in-law of
the late Robyn
Gross.
Interment at
Adat Shalom
Memorial Park.

HARRY B. JACOBS, 97, of
Southfield, died Dec. 20. He was
a residential builder, who had
been an air raid warden during
World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 69
years, Rose Jacobs; sons and
daughter-in-law, David Jacobs of
Bloomfield Hills, Norman Jacobs
of Chicago, Howard and Shelly
Jacobs of West Bloomfield, Stuart
Jacobs of Stockton, Calif.; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Hannah and
David Steiner of Tavernier, Fla.;
12 grandchildren; 18 great-grand-
children.

60, of West Bloomfield died Dec.
21.
She is survived by her sisters
