DR. GEORGE A. GROSS, 68, of Avon,
Colo., formerly of Southfield and
Okemos, died Dec. 7. He received his
bachelor's degree from Wayne State
University, medical degree from the
Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine
and his MPH from the University of
Michigan. Dr. Gross was in general prac-
tice in Detroit and later was a professor of
medicine in the School of Osteopathic
Medicine at Michigan State University.
Dr. Gross is survived by his son, Dr.
Robert Gross of Chicago; daughter Maj.
Laura Gross of Alexandria, Va.; sister,
Diane Krome of Rome, Ga. He was the
son of the late Anna and Bondy Gross;
beloved husband of the late Marcelline
Gross.
Private services were held in Leadville,

SUSAN HAMBURGER, 42, of
Birmingham, died Dec. 17. She was the
founder of and first and longtime presi-
dent of the Greater
Birmingham Ladies
Lunch Club.
