on her own. After the paper was
bought out, Mrs. Ross was hired per-
manently by Ford Motor Company,
where she worked for 11 years, helping
to produce the company's annual
report. In addition, she established a
bookkeeping system for the
Stockholders Relations Department
and maintained a detailed account of
budget spending.
She is survived by her grandchil-
dren, David Jacobs, Daniel Jacobs,
Haviva Jacobs; brother, Ed Linx of
Ohio and his fiancee, Pat Cook; sister,
Carolyn Orrin of Farmington Hills.
Mrs. Ross was the beloved wife of the
late William Ross and the late David
Konhein; loving mother of the late
Rachel Jacobs.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to the Southfield Goodfellows, P.O.
Box 2336, Southfield, MI 48037 or
the Dearborn Community Fund,
15801 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn,
MI 48126. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

REGINA H. SMITHEIMER, 82, of
Berkley, died Dec. 4. She was a retired
Comerica Bank teller.
She is survived by her three daugh-
ters, Anita Brody, Elaine Goldman
Kellams, Barbara Goldman; two grand-
daughters, Gayle Brown, Deborah
Brody; great-grandson Robert Brown.

SYLVIA FRIEDMAN SOLOMON,
85, of Southfield, died Dec. 10. She
was a member of
Temple Beth El, life
member of
Hadassah, a past
president of the
Huntington Woods
Chapter of
Women's American
ORT, a member of
the National
Sylvia Solomon
Council of Jewish
Women. She also
conducted exercise and Yiddish classes
for seniors at the Oak Park
Community Center and was a dancer
at the Fox Theatre when it originally
opened and then again at the re-open-
ing in 1986.
Mrs. Solomon is survived by her
daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and
Lawrence Gardner of Bingham Farms,
Risa and Michael McDonald of Texas;
son and daughter-in-law, Fred and
Jackie Friedman of Milford; grandchil-
dren, Marc and Rena Gardner, Wendy
and Kevin Landau, Michelle Friedman,
Lisa Friedman, Adam McDonald and
brother, Jerry Cohen. She was the
beloved wife of the late Morton
Friedman and the late Harry Solomon.
