They are the sons of Sue and Bob
Roberts and brothers
of Caryn. Sharing in
the simchah are
proud grandparents

Apel and Kate
Roberts and Bill
Roberts, as well as
excited great-grand-
mother Selma Apel.
Dirk Roberts
Jake and Dirk are also
the
grandsons of the late
Carolyn Apel.
Jake attends
Farmington Hills
Warner Middle
School and enjoys
golf, skiing, baseball
and bowling. As part
Jake Roberts
of his mitzvah proj-
ects, he volunteered at
Hadassah's Ducky Derby to help raise
funds for the fight against cancer in
children.
Dirk is a student at Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills and likes
sports and video games. He also found
volunteering at Hadassah's Ducky
Derby very meaningful as part of his
mitzvah projects.

Alex Solomon (Sander Meyer) of
Birmingham will become a bar mitzvah
at Temple Beth El on Saturday, Dec. 1.
Participating in the ceremony will be
parents Rochelle and Barry Solomon
and brother Adam
Solomon. Proud
grandparents are
Frances Solomon of
Birmingham and
Sally and Michael
Sommerfeld of
Southfield.
Alex is a student at
Derby Middle School
in Birmingham. He is
active in hockey, band, golf and basket-
ball. His mitzvah project-included vol-
unteering at the Baldwin Public Library
in Birmingham.
