After Rose Stocker retired, she began a new career as a JVS
Senior Service Corps volunteer. She's been a Corps member
since 1997 - giving her time and talents to a number of nonprofit,
Jewish organizations each week.Through her volunteer work,
Rose has found fulfillment and a renewed sense of purpose in
life. She has also made new friends with fellow Corps members,
which has expanded her support system at an age when one's
friendships often diminish. Helping Rose remain productive,
valued and connected to the community are essential to her
well being and demonstrates how Jewish values work for
older adults.
