P,Ag

officer. He was named CEO in
May.
Andy graduated from the
University of Michigan and spent
three years on Wall Street, focusing
on mergers and acquisitions with
Blackstone and Lazard. Freres. He
worked on more than $12 billion of
successful transactions before
returning to Michigan in October
2000 to become executive vice pres-
ident of Farbman Real Estate
Services.
Both are single. David resides in
Bloomfield Hills and Andy lives in
Birmingham.
The last word on the Farbman
brothers belongs to their father. "It's
funny what you remember about
your kids," said Burton Farbman.
"When David and Andy were
younger, we used to get in the car
on Sundays and drive around to the
different projects in which the com-
pany was currently involved. The
two of them were almost always
battling each other about some-
thing.
"Today, I look at them and could-
n't be prouder that they are the best
of friends and they work so well
together.
"I think the greatest compliment
children can give parents is to fol-
low in their footsteps. As a father,
it's gratifying to think I did some-
thing right for them to want to
emulate me."
Added Farbman, "Looking back,
David and Andy had goals and aspi-
rations not too far from what they're
doing now David wanted to be a
writer or an actor. Andy wanted to
be a professor or a coach. There's
still a bit of these traits in them
today."
