held the 4th Women in Philanthropy
luncheon at Shaarey Zedek.
More than 400 patrons attended
the event featuring keynote speaker
Beverly Fine and Marilyn Weisberg
co-chaired Temple Israel's Symphony of
Fashion event.
Symphony Of Fashion
Temple Israel presented "Symphony
of Fashion" to a sold-out crowd of
more than 400 patrons. The day
began with boutique shopping,
lunch and ended with a spectacular

Betty Rollin, an author and breast
cancer survivor. Rollin spoke about
the "bright side of cancer." She relat-
ed how grateful she feels. "If you
recover," she said, "you feel like the
world's luckiest person." She also
mentioned some important tips like
educating oneself about the treat-
ment and the different types of
physicians.

The Sinai Guild awarded Hope
Silverman a special tribute.
Silverman, a longtime volunteer, has
moved to New York.

Denim Moondance
The "Diamonds and Denim
Moondance" to benefit the
University of Michigan
Comprehensive Cancer Center was
held recently at the stables at Turtle
Lake in Bloomfield Hills. The stables
provided the perfect backdrop for
dancing. The site is on the grounds
of the prestigious new development
of Victor International Corporation.

looked radiant in denim jeans stud-
