On Oct. 23, the Sinai Guild held the 4th Women in Philanthropy luncheon at Shaarey Zedek. More than 400 patrons attended the event featuring keynote speaker Beverly Fine and Marilyn Weisberg co-chaired Temple Israel's Symphony of Fashion event. Symphony Of Fashion Temple Israel presented "Symphony of Fashion" to a sold-out crowd of more than 400 patrons. The day began with boutique shopping, lunch and ended with a spectacular fashion show. Rollin spoke about the "bright side of cancer." She relat- ed how grateful she feels. "If you recover," she said, "you feel like the world's luckiest person." She also mentioned some important tips like educating oneself about the treat- ment and the different types of physicians. Sinai Guild President Rusty Rosman and Co-Chairs Rose Rita Goldman and Barbara Nemer greet- ed the crowd, while Lenore Dunsky Weiss gave the HaMotzi — the blessing over the bread. The Sinai Guild awarded Hope Silverman a special tribute. Silverman, a longtime volunteer, has moved to New York. greeted the crowd. "For a moment the ugliness of the world has left," he said, "and we can be indulged by beauty, friendship, joy and families." Denim Moondance The "Diamonds and Denim Moondance" to benefit the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center was held recently at the stables at Turtle Lake in Bloomfield Hills. The stables provided the perfect backdrop for dancing. The site is on the grounds of the prestigious new development of Victor International Corporation. Jay Alix and Fair and Steven Radom were the co-chairs. Fair Radom looked radiant in denim jeans stud- ded with rhinestones. Some of the patrons spotted in the crowd
