Professionally Speaking: Rabbi Wineberg
is a teacher at the Bais Menachem
Academy, located in the educational wing
of Congregation Beth Shalom in Oak
Park. He also works as administrator and
as a teacher for the Sara Tugman Bais
Chabad Torah Center in West
Bloomfield.
Rochel Wineberg teaches at the
Lubavitch preschool, Ganeinu, also in

West Bloomfield.
Rabbi Wineberg describes Bais
Menachem, with 80 students in grades
kindergarten through 8, as "focusing pri-
marily on skill-based learning, rather than
just memory." The approach is "learning
how to learn," making use not only of
classic Jewish texts but workbooks (which
Rabbi Wineberg himself has written) that
enhance the learning experience. Half the
day is spent in Jewish education, the
other half of the day is for secular studies.
Rabbi Wineberg especially appreciates
the opportunity to work with Rabbi
Meilech Silberberg at the Bais Chabad
Torah Center.
