SYLVIA SARACHEK, 89, of New York,
died Oct. 15. She was the former owner of
a cocktail lounge.
Mrs. Sarachek is survived by her
daughter, Marilyn Hoes; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Marvin and Annette Eliot of
Farmington Hills; sister, Ann Weitz. Mrs.
Sarachek was the beloved wife of the late
Jack Sarachek.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

Hills, died Oct. 14. For 32 years, he was
the founder and owner of
Sid Savage Auto Dealer
Supply in Taylor. He was
also a member of the
Auto Dealers Association
and Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
Mr. Savage is survived
by his wife, Ruth Savage;
Sidney Savage
daughters and sons-in-
law, Leslie and John
Wilhelm of Saginaw, Bonnie and Dr.
Michael Rosenberg of Farmington Hills,
Evva and Dr. Michael Hepner of
Farmington Hills; son and daughter-in-
law, Peter and Suzan Caplan of
Huntington Woods; grandchildren, Amy
and Scott Prechtel, Sarah Wilhelm, Eric
and Jennifer Rosenberg, Scott and Jamie
Carrick, Todd and Kelli Carrick, Matthew
and Natalya Rosenberg, Adam and Randi
Carrick, Julie Rosenberg, Sarah Hepner,
Michael Caplan, Aliza Caplan; great-
grandchildren, Alec Prechtel, Madeleine
Prechtel, Kasey Carrick, Joey Prechtel,
Gabriel Rosenberg, Tazio Rosenberg,
Noah Carrick. He was the beloved hus-
band of the late Yetta Savage; dear brother
of the late Miriam Levine and.the late
Ruth Wengrow.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to
the American Cancer Society.

0. ARTHUR "GRANDPA ARTIE"
SCHUSSLER, 85, of Farmington Hills,
died Oct. 5. He was born in New York
City. As a child, he sang with Cantor
Yossele Rosenblatt. After graduating from
the Yeshiva University and the City
College of New York, he entered the
United States Army during World War II,
serving 4 1/2 years domestically and
abroad. Stationed in Brazil during the war,
he orchestrated and led a 400-person
Passover seder.
Upon his return to the Detroit area, he
became a member and served on the
board of Congregation Beth Achim and
later Beth Ahm. He spent the last 20 years
his life studying Torah and taking weekly
classes at the Kollel. He volunteered for
many years in the Birmingham schools as
well as at Yad Ezra and many other organ-
izations.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years,
Sheila Schussler; children, Sonny
