SYLVIA STAHL, 90, of Detroit, died
Oct. 7.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Hannah and Willie Barry of
Detroit; grandchildren, Bari Lynn Barry,
Edward and Tonya Barry, Jonathan and
Devonna Barry; great-grandchildren,
Tontina, Brittany, Ayanna, Edward,
Tiffany, Tontina, Karla, Georgie, Deanna,
Dakona, Dustin; great- great-grandchild,
Deja Barry.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial Park.

JOSHUA "JIM" STONE, 81, of
Bingham Farms, died Oct. 2. He attend-
ed Central High School and went on to
Wayne State University where he
majored in accounting.
In 1943, he enlisted in the U.S. Army
and served in New Guinea and Luzon.
He received the Victory Medal, the
Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, two
bronze battle stars, the Philippine
Liberation Ribbon, three overseas service
bars and the good conduct medal.
In the Detroit area, he went into busi-
ness as a accountant and became a part-
ner in the firm. Later, Mr. Stone left to
go into the building business and was
one of the builders of Wonderland Mall.
He then joined Ed Levy and Company,
where he was a partner for 35 years. He
was also a member of Temple Beth El.
Mr. Stone is survived by his wife,
Eunice Stone; daughters and sons-in-law,
Marcy and Michael Klein of Bloomfield
Hills, Gwen and Evan Weiner of
Franklin, Carol and Drew DePaul of
Chicago; grandchildren, Stacy Schwartz,
Mitchell Schwartz, Eliot Weiner,
Elizabeth Weiner, Olivia Weiner, Michael
DePaul, Nathan DePaul, Isabel DePaul;
brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and
Renee Stone, Charles and Barbara Stone,
all of Franklin. He was the dear brother
of the late Hermine Cotton Stone.
