MORTIMER BERNHARDT, 81,
formerly of Atlantic City, N.J. of West
Bloomfield, died Aug. 16. Mr.
Bernhardt was a diamond and fine
jewelry dealer on the Boardwalk when
World War II broke out. He was draft-
ed and served in the infantry and was
captured in the invasion of Sicily on
July 10, 1943. He came home vvhen
the war ended in 1945. He was dis-
abled due to slave labor and marching
in Germany during freezing weather.
He is survived by his wife of 58
years, Jacqueline Goorland Bernhardt;
sons and daughter-in-law, Ric and Gail
Bernhardt of Bloomfield Hills, Greg
Bernhardt of New York, N.Y.;
granddaughter, Justine Sarah Bernhardt.
Interment in Beth Kehillah
Cemetery in Egg Harbor, N.J.
Contributions may be made to a chari-
ty of one's choice. Arrangements by the
Dorfman Chapel.

LOUIS CALFIN, 76, of Oak Park,
died Aug. 15.
He is survived by his sons, Chris
Calfin of Napa, Calif, Todd Calfin of
West Bloomfield; sisters, Jean Moore
of Huntington Woods, Betty Lenin of
Southfield.

EVELYN KAY COLE, 82, of
Huntington Woods, died Aug. 14.
She is survived by her son, Richard
"Rick" Cole of Southfield. Mrs. Cole
was the beloved wife of the late John
"Jack" Cole; loving daughter of the
late Joseph Zitomer and the late Reva
Zitomer; dear sister of the late Joan
"Nonie" Zitomer and the late Marilyn
Weiss.
Interment at Beth El Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to

ESFIRA DORIN, 73, of Southfield,
died Aug. 20.
She is survived by her husband,
Zalman Dorin; daughter and son-in-

Shava, Israel; grandchildren, Yuri
Demidko, Tatyana Demidko.

ANN BERRY EISLER, 93, of West
Bloomfield, died Aug. 16. She was a
member of Adat Shalom Synagogue
and its sisterhood, B'nai B'rith and
Hadassah. She also was a volunteer at
Borman Hall and did Braille volunteer
work.
Mrs. Eisler is survived by her
daughters and sons-in-law, Francey
and Allen Sager of Canada, Pauline
and Bob Lewert of Florida; grandchil-
dren, Michele and Brian Tobias, Lisa
and Arnie Cowan, Alana and Michael
Greenberg, Hilary and Michael Crows;
great-grandchildren, Ryan and Erin
Cowan, Brandon Tobias and Jordan
Greenberg. She was the beloved wife of
the late Millard Eisler; loving daughter
of the late Harris and the late Gertrude
Berry; dear sister of the late Louis
Berry, the late Ben Berry, the late
Bertha Dworkin, the late Ester Berry
and the late Jack Berry.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
directed to the Hospice Home of
Farmington Hills, 2594 Middlebelt
Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48336.

DENNIS FOSTER, 59, of West
Bloomfield, died Aug. 16. He was a
self-employed television producer.
He is survived by his wife of 36
years, Carol Foster; sons, Richard
Foster of Ohio, Michael Foster of West
Bloomfield, Sander Foster of
Stockbridge; grandchildren, Elinor and
Thomas Foster; brother and sister-in-
law, Sheldon and Dorothy Decker of
Livonia; sister and brother-in-law,

MURRAY FREDERICKE, 80, of
Boynton Beach, Fla., died Aug. 8. He
was a Jewish War Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 59

Metamora; sons and daughter-in-law,
Louis, Mark and Andrea; grandchil-
dren, Douglas, Scott, Lauren and
David.

FRED FUTERMAN, 75, of Boynton
Beach, Fla., formerly of Detroit, died
Aug. 19.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy;
son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Howard
and Sharon Futerman of California;
