BETTY TANNIS, 80, of Southfield,
died Aug. 3.
She is survived by her brother,
Thomas Tannis of Southfield; nieces
and nephews. Miss Tannis was the
loving sister-in-law of the late
Lorraine Tannis.

DR. NAOMI E. TENDLER, i 8, of
West Bloomfield, died Aug. 3. She
was a dentist who graduated from
the University of Michigan Dental
School in 1949. She was also a
member of Temple Kol Ami,
Hadassah, Na'amat, Michigan
Dental Society and the Alumni
Association of the University of
Michigan.
Dr. Tendler is survived by her hus-
band of almost 50 years, Norman H.
Tendler; son, Arthur Tendler of Ann

Arbor; daughter and son-in-law, Ann
and Neill Hamilton of New Jersey;
grandchildren, Joseph and Susan
Dishinger, Michael Hamilton,
Joshua Hamilton; brother and sister-
in-law, William and Dorothy
Shapiro; brothers-in-law and sister-
in-law, Jack and Dorothy Tendler of
Southfield, Saul Reubin of
Southfield. She was the dear sister of
the late Dr. Arthur Shapiro; dear sis-
ter-in-law of the late Lorraine
Rubin.
Interment at Beth El Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to
a charity of one's choice.

includes the deceased's name as
well as a return name and
address. Do not write on the
photograph itself.

The Jewish News by noon
Tuesday to be considered for
that Friday's paper. To be
returned, all photographs must
be accompanied by a stamped,
self-addressed envelope.
