uests of the fifth annual
Senior Concert at Temple
Beth El danced in the aisles
at the July 15 standing-
room-only event.
"Yearly, members of Temple Beth El's
music committee, spearheaded by
Cindy Bolokofsky, write letters and
make calls to the various senior citizen
facilities in the community to invite

them to attend this event," says
Marsha Rofel, publicity chair.
Nearly 1,70G music lovers filled the
Bloomfield Township synagogue's main
sanctuary to hear tunes presented by
Cantor Robert Abelson, Broadway per-
former and cantor of Temple Israel in
New York City; his wife, soprano
Carol Abelson, and pianist, David
Brunetti. Also taking the stage was the
temple's cantor, Stephen Dubov, with
wife Christine Dubov's Temple Beth El
Swing Dancers persuading members of
the audience to join them out on the
floor.
The program, titled, "Down
Memory Lane," was chaired by Diane
Chasnick and is sponsored annually by
the Sally and Harry Nosanchuk Family
Caring Community Fund.
"Harry and Sally are temple mem-
bers and community philanthropists,"
Rofel says. "This sponsorship enables
us to offer quality entertainment to
seniors in our community at no
charge." ❑
