Melton School
Returns To Area

The Florence Melton Adult Mini-
School, a project of the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem, will return
to metro Detroit in October 2001.
The mini-school is designed for
students of all ages and from a vari-
ety of backgrounds, modes of per-
sonal observance and religious phi-
losophy. It is a two-year program
committed to promoting Jewish lit-
eracy through the sequential, sys-
tematic study of Jewish sources. Two
class times will be offered, meeting
Wednesday mornings 9:30 11:45
a.m. at the Jewish Community
Center in West Bloomfield or
Wednesday evenings, 7-9:15 p.m. at
the Max M. Fisher Federation
Building in Bloomfield Township.
Rabbi Scott Bolton, director of
community learning at. Hillel Day
School, and Dina Shtull-Lebei, a
Jewish Early Education Enhancement
Project mentor and an instructor of
adults in Ann Arbor, will teach the
Wednesday morning class. Rabbi
Aaron Bergman, director of Judaic
studies for the Jewish Academy of
Metropolitan Detroit, and Michael
Weiss, an instructor at the Jewish
Academy and a former instructor for
the Florence Melton Adult Mini-
School of Windsor, will teach the
Wednesday evening class.
For information, attend one of
the Taste of Melton informational
meetings, which offer a short teach-
ing session by a Melton faculty
member as well as details on the
program.

of the national Florence Melton
Adult Mini-School office in
Chicago.

the Jewish Community Center in
West Bloomfield; instructor: Rabbi
Aaron Bergman.
• Wednesday, July 25, 7:30 p.m.
at a private home; instructor: Rabbi
Aaron Bergman.
• Thursday, Aug. 2, 7:30 p.m. a
private home; instructor: Rabbi
Aaron Bergman.
