BORDERs
Birmingham, Beverly Hills,
Farmington Hills

nized him. He was
wearing the identi-
cal outfit I was
wearing: black
blazer with open
white sport shirt,
gray slacks, black
loafers. At dinner
we both had the
same menu choices!
"As we learned more — neither of
us played golf, but we both played
tennis; we both had the exact same
back problem; we took the same
medication to ease digestive problem
— we were even more amazed at the
similarities!
"To top if off, we found that both
couples were going to be in Phoenix
a short time later on the exact same
dates. Meeting in Phoenix, we
learned that both couples were going
to be in Nantucket that summer —
our first family trip there but their
regular summer holiday.
"Further investigation revealed that
our grandparents came from villages
in Lithuania only 10 miles or so
apart, so maybe we were related!"
RESTAURANT RECOMMEN-
DATION Dept ... from Marci
"Alegrias restaurant in
Feinbaum
Farmington Hills (Farmington Hills
Holiday Inn on Grand River and 10
Mile) for not only delicious Spanish
food, but excellent flamenco dance
entertainment as well."
CONGRATS ... To Roberta Kaner
... on her birthday ... and to
Roberta's daughter, Lisa Kaner, also
on her birthday ... both celebrated
the same day.
Note from Ilyssa Tachel, 8th grade
student at Hillel Day School says, "It
would mean so much to me if you
could wish my Aunt Roberta and
cousin Lisa a happy birthday from
me" ... No sooner said than done for
a fine young lady.
To Shirley Selik ... on her 77th
birthday.
THEY COULDN'T have asked
for a better anniversary gift ... 25
years ago, Michael and Maya
Kuchersky came here from Russia ...
Son, Roman, and daughter-in-law,
Lida, made sure they were both given
a wonderful present ... with the
recent birth of Andrian Jacob ... to
make the owners of Fiddler and
Sunrise Cafes and Maya's Skin Care,
first-time grandparents.
THE NEW 52-food Raw Bar &
Kettle at Rocky's of Northville on W.
Seven Mile, deserves mention ... It's
that good ... complete with oyster
kettle and a bevy of chilled seafood
