County medical societies, Dr. Tukel
was also a fellow of the American
College of Surgeons and the
American Academy of
Ophthalmology. He also served on
several national boards. He was a
member of the Victors Club and
the Presidents Club at the
University of Michigan.
With his wife, Gail, he traveled
widely throughout the world,
including the Middle East, Africa,
Australia, China and Europe. He
was an avid gardener, fisherman and
lover of classical music. Dr. Tukel
was a supporter of numerous Jewish
institutions including Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills and Congregation
Sharey Zedek, where he was a life-
long member and member of the
board.
Dr. Tukel is survived by his wife,
Gail; daughter and son-in-law,
Michelle Tukel and Jay Brown of
West Bloomfield; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Dr. David and Debby
Tukel of Franklin, Joshua and
Renae Tukel of West Bloomfield;
beloved grandchildren, Benjamin,
Melanie, Bradley, Matthew, Connor,
Jacob, Eli and Jillian. He was the
loving son of the late Sam Tukel
- and the late Rose Tukel.
Contributions may be made to
the Dr. Floyd Tukel Memorial Fund
at Hillel Day School, 32200
Middlebelt Road, Farmington Hills,
MI 48334. Interment at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery. Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

HOWARD TYNER, 51, of
Burbank, Calif., died June 21. He
was an entertainment talent manag-
er.
Mr. Tyner is survived by his
brother, Charles Tyner of
Southfield; niece, Marlene Tyner.
He was the loving son of the late
Margery and the late Leonard
Tyner.
Interment in California.
Contributions may be made to the
Michigan Heart Association or the
National Kidney Foundation. This
announcement was placed at the
request of the family by the Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

ROBERT WAINSTOCK, 49, for-
merly of Oak Park of Northridge,
Calif., died June 21.
He is survived by his sons, Stuart,
19; Michael, 16; Barry 13; ex-wife,
Kathie Beal Wainstock; brother and
sister-in-law, Neal and Jan

Wainstock. He was the loving son
of the late Allen and Sarah
Wainstock.

BERNARD WIGLER, 87, of New
York, died June 19. He was a buyer
for Albany Public Market in Albany,
N.Y.
Mr. Wigler is survived by his wife
of 61 years, Beatrice Wigler; sons
and daughters-in-law, Melvin J. and
Marty Wigler of New York, Gerald
and Theresa Wigler of New York;
brother, Jerome Wigler of
Pennsyvania.; sister, Lorraine
Jacobson of Huntington Woods;
grandchildren, Keith, Todd, Wendy
and April. Interment at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one's
choice. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

His most notable wnrk was a
critical edition of the Midrash
known as Pesikta deRab Kahana.
He was also the author of Choose

Life, Tales of the Fathers of the
Conservative Movement and You
Are Not Alone.
Mandelbaurnts death -
believed to be the result of a
massive heart attack - came sud-
denly, despite the fact he had
been in poor health for a num-
ber of years.
Mandelbaum is survived by
his second wife, Marcelle, a sis-
ter and five children. He also
leaves three stepchildren, 10
grandchildren, two stepgrand-
children and one great-grand-
child.
