He was a pharmacist. He graduated
from Wayne State University. He was
also a boat enthusiast, living off the
water and owning a boat for over 40
years.
He is survived by his dear wife,
Mary Jane; daughter, Ronna; step-
son, John; five grandchildren. He
was the beloved son of the late Rose
and Louis Berk; loving father of the
late Billy.
Arrangements by Riverside
Chapel, Miami Beach.

MARTIN J. BLATT, 64, former
Detroiter of Highland Park, Ill., died
June 1. He received a bachelor's
degree in history from the University
of Michigan. He was in sales in sev-
eral Detroit area businesses includ-
ing Tile 'n Paint stores and New
York Carpet World.
Mr. Blatt was a past president and
board chairman of Oxygen Therapy
Institute/SOS Technologies Inc. and
was serving as a board member and
running his own Chicago franchise
supplying emergency oxygen, life-
saving devices and related training to
business and industry.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Nancie (Miller) Blatt; children,
Lauren, Susan Blatt, Stephanie Blatt
(James) Kiddie; mother, Ruth Blatt
Sak; sister, Iris Blatt Ellison; sisters-
in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley
Blatt, Russell Ellison, Alan and
Elizabeth May. He was the adored
son of the late Meyer Blatt; brother
of the late Allen Blatt.

SIDNEY CHARNESS, 80, of
Southfield, died May 25.
He is survived by his son and

dren, Sally and Drew Charness,

Jenna. He was the beloved husband

died May 31.

Kelly Cohen; five great-grandchil-
dren. Mr. Cohen was the beloved

MEYER (MAC) FAGELMAN, 89,
former Detroiter of El Paso, Texas,
died May 25. During World War II,
he was a member of the U.S. Army,
serving in several European theaters.
Following the war, he owned and
operated Mac's Delicatessen in El
Paso until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife,
Leona; dear children, Rita and John
Silverman of El Paso, Leonard
Fagelman of Los Angeles, Barry and
Cindy Smith of Los Angeles; Sharyn
Spillman of Scottsdale, Ariz; grand-
children, Sharon Segal and Stephen
Prudholme, Nina Segal, Annie Segal
and Joey Gonzalez, Gina and Rob
Lovett, Todd and Sharon Silverman,
Adam and Leigh Smith, Scott and
Andrea Smith, Suyze and Dr. David
Kleiner; great-grandchildren, Haley,
Davis, Sarah, Jacob, Annie, Jerad;
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law,
Julia Fagelman, Joe and Bea
Denhoffer, Lil and Izzy Liebowitz of
Florida. He was the son of the late
Harry and Fannie Fagelman; brother
of the late Bella (Samuel) Linden,
Sam (Sophie) Fagelman, Jack
Fagelman; husband of the late Grace
Fagelman.
Services and interment in El Paso.

ROY FISHER JR. , 86, of Maryland,
died May 29. He was an electrical
industry executive, a Mason and a
graduate of St. Johns Military
Academy.
