Detroit Hadassah
Installs Officers
Past president Arline Gould recently
installed Greater Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah officers.
Elaine Sturman was elected to her sec-
ond term as chapter president. Installed
with Sturman were the following execu-
tive officers: treasurer, Ellen Rothenberg;
recording secretary, Deena Lockman;
vice presidents, Barbara Moretsky, Patty
Moss, Judi Schram, Wendy Kohlenberg,
Sue Luria and Shirley Robbins.
Special awards were presented to vol-
unteers for their accomplishments and
devotion to Hadassah. The Love of a
Lifetime Award went to Morris and
Marcia Bednarsh; the National
Leadership Award to Shirley Robbins;
the Woman of the Year Award to Judi
Schram.
Co-chairs Beverly Fine and Peggy
Shafir planned the event. Harriet Berg's
Festival Dancers provided entertain-
ment.
At installation events planned for
spring, the following women will accept
positions with their Hadassah groups:

JCC Hosts
Fertility Forums
The Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit will host two dis-
cussion groups focusing on infertility
issues.
Titled "Fertile Ground," the classes
will take place at 10 a.m. Sundays, June
3 and 10, at the JCC in West
Bloomfield, or at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays,
June 7 and 14, at the JCC in Oak Park.
Information will be provided about
services related to infertility and parent-
hood from a Jewish perspective.
Rochelle Anixt Gold will host the meet-
ings. There will also be information
available on Jewish ethics of reproductive
assistance, in vitro fertilization, adoption
and assisted reproductive technology.
