Jewish Experiences for Families of the Agency for Jewish Education
will be training people like YOU in the field of Jewish Family Education
this summer. Course work will include learning about the Jewish
family, family dynamics, creating innovative Jewish programming,
curriculum development and much more! Put family learning into
action in your Jewish classroom, or learn for the sake of learning!
The Temple Beth El Sisterhood will
lead a Shabbat service 7:30 p.m. Friday,
May 18. Dr. Seymour Gretchko, super-
intendent of West Bloomfield Schools,
will be the speaker.
Superintendent since 1983,
Gretchko is a known advocate for edu-
cation. Named the 2000 Michigan
Superintendent of the Year, he is also
the recipient of an Excellence in
Education Leadership Award 2000
from the University Council for
Educational Administration. In 1995,
West Bloomfield honored him with the
naming of the Seymour Gretchko
Elementary School.
