Russell Cody Caskey will become a bar
mitzvah on Friday, May 4, at Temple
Israel. He is the son of
Diane and Mark
Caskey and brother of
Zachary, Rylan and
Cayla. Proud grand-
mother is Justine
Caskey. He is also the
Grandson of the late
Vincent Caskey and
the late Rena and
Gerald Rosenfeld.
An honor student at Clifford Smart
Middle School in Walled Lake, Russell
enjoys skateboarding, football and bas-
ketball. His mitzvah projects included
volunteering at Menorah House in
Southfield, assisting when Temple Israel
housed the homeless and making gift
baskets to donate to the children of the
Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Yael Duer will become a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, May 5, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek B'nai
Israel. She is the
daughter of Rhonda
and Armando Duer
and sister of Michal
and Oren. Proud
grandparents are Yosef
and Violeta Duer of
Israel and Elliot
Rappaport of
Farmington Hills. She is also the grand-
daughter of the late Jean Rappaport.
Yael is a seventh-grade honor student
at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. She has
been playing piano for seven years and
loves music. Her other passion is sports;
she loves basketball, soccer and in-line
skating. This summer, she will attend
Camp Tamarack for the sixth year.
Michelle Brooke Ellis will celebrate her
bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, May 5. She
is the daughter of Lori
and Jeffrey Ellis and
sister of Joshua.

are Gloria and Robert
Ellis and Sophie and
Bernard Klisman.
Attending Walled
Lake Middle School,
where she is an honor student, Michelle
plays soccer on a travel team and likes
music, travel, charting on-line and
attending sporting events at Michigan
State University. Among her mitzvah
projects, she made dolls for hospitalized
children through Hadassah, volunteered
ffordable Elegance
in Assisted Living.
Welcome to

with younger children in art classes at an
elementary school, assisted in Temple
Israel's library and donated to the
Holocaust Memorial Center and
Hadassah Hospital in Israel.
Amanda Beth Fleischman will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, May 5, at

Zedek. She is the
daughter of Denise
and Jeffrey
Fleischman and the
sister of Elyse and
Nicole. Proud grand-
parents are Benjamin
and Ethel Siegal and
Marvin and Sharon Fleischman; proud
great-grandmother is Esther Benson.
Amanda is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. She enjoys dancing, being
with friends and spending summers at
Camp Walden. Her most meaningful
mitzvah project was volunteering at the
Fleischman Residence in West
Bloomfield. She also enjoyed painting
bowls at the Laker Center in West
Bloomfield with Jewish Association for
Residential Care residents.
Molly Anne Goldberg will celebrate her
bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, May 5. She
is the daughter of
Peggy and Neil
Goldberg and sister of
Michael. She is also
the grandchild of the
late Nona and Max
Goldberg and Adele
and James Boyle.
A student at Derby
Middle School in
Birmingham, Molly is a figure skater on
a synchronized skating team. Her ongo-
ing mitzvah project is volunteering with
autistic children.
