MAKE IT THREE now in what
has become a fast-growing chain that
so many people only three years ago
in 1998, thought might stop at just
one because of the unusual concept.
But number three by Zoup! Fresh
Soup Company, that started out with
just soup and bread at its operation
on Northwestern Hwy., in
Southfield's Franklin Plaza, off 12
Mile ... opened last week for the
oodles of soup fans in Troy ... in a
2,300 square foot spot on Maple,
just east of Coolidge.
It has more than soup ... with the
12 daily rotating soups from the col-
lection by youthful owners, Eric
Ersher and Dave Elias, of over 200
varieties ... The new Troy Zoup! also
has a bevy of chopped and tossed sal-
ads the fellows call Good Greens.
Folks can now find out what soups
are available at the locations by just
logging on to Zoup.com ... They can
order this way, too, and even pay.
Eric and Dave's locales are ... the
Northwestern site, now its flagship;
the Ren-Cen Food Court, Detroit;
and now Maple in Troy.
Opening in June or July, will be
number four ... on Haggerty in
Northville.
LAST YEAR, the first Treasures
from the Cellar dinner and wine auc-
tion by Fanclub Foundation for the
Arts, had 120 attending at Pike
Street restaurant in Pontiac ... Over
$20,000 was raised for the education
of aspiring local artists.
So many more are expected this
year, that the entire third floor of
Neiman Marcus in Somerset
Collection will be used for the
Treasures II dinner and wine auction
... both live and silent ... The later
will also include other interesting
items.
The black tie event is set for
Friday, May 11, 6:30 p.m.
