the Cohn family prize at Bar-Ilan
University's
Faculty of Law.
This perpetu-
ally endowed
fund will annual-

an outstanding
English language
paper at the
school,
Judge Cohn
announced
Barbara
Horowitz, president of the universi-
ty's Detroit Friends. Bar-Ilan is in
Ramat Gan, Israel.
Cohn is a United States District
judge in the Eastern District of

Na'amat USA, Greater Detroit
Council will hold its annual spiri-
tual adoption luncheon noon
Thursday, May 17, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Guest speaker will be Diana
Lewis, WXYZ Channel 7 news
anchor, who joined the
Southfield-based station in 1977.
Lewis has been honored by the
Michigan Academy of Televison
Arts and Sciences with the Silver
Circle Award for 25 years of
devoted service to the television
industry.
Lewis is involved in such com-
munity and charitable organiza-
tions as Haven, Variety: A
Children's Charity, City of Hope
and the American Cancer Society.
Evelyn Noveck, council presi-
dent, has appointed Charlotte
Edelheit chair of the day.
There is a charge for the lun-
cheon in addition to a minimum
contribution on behalf of the pro-
grams of Na'amat Israel.

ed until May 9 at the council
