died April 23. She was a member of
Temple Beth El, Detroit Institute of
Arts, Franklin Hills Country Club and
an Orchards Children's
Service volunteer.
Mrs. Allen is survived
by her daughters, Lisa
Allen of Massschusetts
and Paula Allen of New
York. She was the
beloved wife of the late
Jay W. Allen.
Interment at Clover
Helen Allen
Hill Park Cemetery.
Contributions may be

PAUL CAPLAN, 71, of Southfield, died
April 19.
He is survived by his sister and
brother-in-law, Freda and Morrey
Mendelson of Southfield; niece and
nephew, Ilyne and Richard Mendelson.
He was the loving son of the late Jacob
Caplan, the late Becky Caplan.

GRACE GALENS, 90, of West
Bloomfield, died April 12. She was a
member of Congregation Shaarey
Zedek.
She is survived by her sons and
daughter-in-law, Sheldon and Susan
Galens of Illinois, Dr. Gary and Johnie
Galens of Farmington Hills; daughter-
in-law, Jane Galens; grandchildren,
David Galens, Stephen Galens, Judith
and Brigham Narins, Daniel and Amy
Galens, Debra and Tom Pavlowski, Joni
Galens, Sheri Galens, Marc Galens, Jeff
Galens; great-grandchildren, Graham
Narins, Alexandria Galens; sister, Sarah
Freidman. Mrs. Galens was the beloved
wife of the late Harry Galens; loving
mother of the late Dr. Gilbert Galens;
dear mother-in-law of the late Barbara
Galens.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to the Dr. Gilbert J. Galens Memorial
Fund, c/o Beaumont Hospital or to
Hospice of Michigan. Arrangements by

MARY GEISMAN, 88, of Detroit, died
April 20.
She is survived by nieces and a nephew.
