PAUL J. BRAGMAN, 79, of Oak Park,
died March 27.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ethel
Bragman; son, Dr. James Bennett Bragman
of Southfield; brothers and sister-in-law,
Leonard and Myrna Bragman of Florida,
Melvin Bragman of Laguna Hills, Calif.; sis-
ter, Miriam Burns of New York City.
Interment at Oakview Cemetery.

GEORGE K BREMEN, 89, of Southfield,
died March 22. He was a graduate of the
University of Michigan and from 1934-52
was the owner of the Wyandotte Theatre.
From 1952-98, he was a
steel salesman for
Kenwal Steel. He was
also a lifetime member of
Congregation Shaarey
Zedek.
Mr. Bremen is sur-
vived by his daughters

Hills; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and
Margo Bremen of West Bloomfield; grand-

Bremen; great-grandchildren, Benjamin,
Lauren, Aaron, Joshua, Annie and Samantha
Schechter, Jordan and Corey Zimmerman;
sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and
Barney Schwartz of Bloomfield Hills; sister-
in-law, Mickey Bergman of Southfield. He
was the beloved husband of the late Elsie G.
Bremen.

DR. HENRY BROWN, 93, former
Detroiter of Palo Alto, Calif, died March
15. He was born in Jersey City, N.J., and
received his bachelor's degree in chemistry
from the University of Kansas in 1928. He
was awarded a Rockefeller Teaching
Fellowship to the University of Michigan,
where he received his Ph.D. in 1933 in
physical chemistry while serving as an assis-
tant professor.
Dr. Brown joined the Udylite
Corporation of Detroit in 1933 and began a
distinguished 40-year career as director of
research. In 1940, he helped found
Technion University in Haifa, Israel.
Dr. Brown was an internationally
renowned elPctro- and organic chemist hon-
ored as one of Michigan's outstanding
inventors and known as the father of mod-
ern electroplating.
His research resulted in 96 U. S. and
250 foreign patents. His most widely used
inventions include chrome and bright nickel
plating processes, which are used by all
major car manufacturers in the U.S., Europe
and Japan.
During World War II, he served on the
Manhattan Project at Columbia University
for the development of the Atomic Bomb.
His contributions to the project were recog-
nized by Nobel Laureate Harold Urey as
well as the British Atomic Energy
Commission.
Dr. Brown received many honors and
awards including the American
Electroplating Society's Scientific
Achievement Award (1967), the
Westinghouse Award (1969) from the
Institute of Metal Finishing in Great Britain,
the Midgley Award (1971) from the
American Chemical Society, the George
Hogaboom Award (1963) and the Carl
Heussner Award (1953). He was also a
member of numerous professional societies
including Sigma XI, the American Chemical
Society, the Faraday Society, the New York
Academy of Sciences and the American
Institute of Chemists.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58
years, Harriet Stone Brown; daughter Paula
Sorrell Brown of New York City; son and
daughter-in-law, Dennis Mayer Brown and
Kay Yoffee Brown, all of Palo Alto; grand-
children, Berry Lauren Brown and Ian
Samuel Brown; brother. Jacob Brown of
Kansas City, Mo. He was the brother of the
late Louis Brown of Kansas City.
GERALD CRONIN, 84. of West
Bloomfield, died March 20.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Cronin;
son, Simon Cronin of West Bloomfield; sis-
ter, Miriam Nathenson of London,
England.

HARRY EISEN, 87, of Farmington Hills,
died March 20.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Eleanor; son and daughter-in-law, Robert
and Sherry Eisen of Farmington Hills;
daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Dr.
Larry Finn of West Bloomfield; brothers and
sister-in-law, Dr. David Easton of Irving,
Calif., Mervin Eisen of Windsor, Ontario,
Canada, Dr. Sydney and Mitzi Eisen of
Evansville, Ill.; grandchildren, Brian Eisen,
Erika, Courtney and Lindsey Finn. He was
the beloved father of the late Ronald Eisen;
brother of the late Rose Tepperman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery in

BELLE FAGAN, 79, of Brownstown, died
March 22.
She is citrvived by her daughter and son- .
in-law, Vivian and Bob Curry of
Brownstown; sister, Rose Surath of
Southfield; grandchildren, Bobby Curry,
Christine Curry, Carrie Curry. Mrs. Fagan
was the beloved wife of the late Marvin
Fagan.

VIVIAN DEBRA FORD-PERUVIAN, 42,
of Farmington Hills, died March 23.
She is survived by her mother, Rossie
Perlman of Southfield; brother and sister-in-
law, Harold and Cynthia Perlman of
Brighton; nephews, Matthew and Jeffrey.
She was the beloved daughter of the late
David Perlman.

JACK GELIEBTER, 84, former Detroiter
of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died March 17. For
over 50 years, her was the founder and
owner of Jack Gell & Company, a wholesale
textile business in Detroit. Mr. Geliebter was
a veteran of World War II. He was a mem-
ber of Temple Beth El in Port St. Lucie,
B'nai B'rith Michigan Chapter and he con-
tributed to many charitable organizations.
He is survived by his dearly beloved wife,
Marianne (Silverman) Geliebter; son and
daughter-in-law, David and Chris of
Franklin Lakes, N.J.; daughter and son-in-
law, Laurie and Bernard Prouhet of West
Bloomfield; six grandchildren; sister, Ida
(Geliebter) Schwartz of Oak Park. He was
the brother of the late Belle (Eskow) Bassin;
son of the late Abraham and Norma
Geliebter.
Graveside services were held at Beth El
Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by
Yates Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie.
BETTE S. GOLDMAN, 85, of Southfield,
died March 24.
She is survived by her son and daughter-
in-law, Michael and Margo Goldman of
West Bloomfield; daughters and son-in-law,

and Neil Fox of Southfield; brother, Victor
Lawson of West Bloomfield; sister, Pearl
