Marty Melton was pre-
sented the award by Fran
White.

B'nai B'rith Great Lakes Region, as well as
national athletic chairman for B'nai B'rith
International, was given an award March 18 in
appreciation for his service.
Melton became a B'nai B'rith member 29
years ago and formed a softball team. It led to
local B'nai B'rith leagues in softball, volleyball
and basketball, which he continues to super-
vise.
Melton created "Family Bagel Day" March
18 during league basketball games at Walled
Lake Central High School as a way of thanking
the players for supporting B'nai B'rith.
Fran White, Great Lakes Region B'nai B'rith
program director, made the presentation to
Melton.
Players interested in the softball league should
call the B'nai B'rith office, (248) 855-5255.
