A student at Abbott Middle School
in West Bloomfield, Arielle enjoys danc-
ing, swimming, computers and music.
Her most significant mitzvah project
was visiting the elderly at Elan Village
and assisting them with art projects.
Jillian Rose Blitz was called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah at Adat Shalom
Synagogue on
Saturday, Feb. 24. She
is the daughter of
Andy and Lauren
Blitz and older sister
to Max Blitz. Her
proud grandparents
are Elinor and
Morton Trotsky and
Mary and Louis Blitz.
Jillian is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent at Abbott Middle School in West
Bloomfield. She enjoys dancing, going
to the movies, attending Camp
Tamarack and spending time with fami-
ly and friends.
Her mitzvah projects included partic-
ipating in the Gilda Walk, making dolls
for Hadassah House and volunteering at
the Adat Shalom summer camp, which
she plans to do again this summer.
Alexander Chernyak will become a bar
mitzvah on Saturday, March 3, at
Temple Israel. He is
the son of Marina
