anclub Foundation for the
arts hosted its annual fund-
raiser "Swingtime at the
Fisher." More than 1,700
patrons attended the event at
Detroit's Fisher Building on Jan. 20,
which raised over $40,000.
"The turnout was outstanding,
which made this year's Swingtime the
most successful and enjoyable ever,"
said John Bloom, executive director
of Fanclub. Partygoers danced to
three live bands and feasted on
gourmet treats from 30 metro-area
restaurants. The event also featured a
silent auction.

Bare Assets

Bare Assets, a Michigan jazz group,
will donate its services for a night of
jazz with proceeds going to the Child

Southfield. The Bare Assets Jazz
Quartet features attorneys Richard S,
Victor, keyboards; Scott Bassett,
base; John Mills saxophone; and Rick
