More than 1,700 patrons attended the event at Detroit's Fisher Building on Jan. 20, which raised over $40,000. "The turnout was outstanding, which made this year's Swingtime the most successful and enjoyable ever," said John Bloom, executive director of Fanclub. Partygoers danced to three live bands and feasted on gourmet treats from 30 metro-area restaurants. The event also featured a silent auction. Fanclub supports art educational Sidney Goldstein, Joyce and Myron LaBan, Shelley and Jeffrey Roberts and Fran and Phillip Wolok. Bare Assets . Bare Assets, a Michigan jazz group, will donate its services for a night of jazz with proceeds going to the Child Abuse and Neglect Counsel 8 p.m. March 3, at McVees restaurant in Southfield.
