Weddings

Tigay-Stutland

Barry and Judy Tigay of West
_Bloomfield and Gary and Andi Stutland
of Deerfield, Ill., are pleased to
announce the engagement of their chil-
dren Donielle Honora and Brian Scott.
Donnie earned her bachelor's degree
with distinction in political science and
Hebrew and Jewish cultural studies
from the University of Michigan. She is
enrolled at Northwestern University
School of Law.

Brian earned his bachelor's degree
cum laude in chemical engineering from
the University of Michigan and his mas-
ter's degree in biomedical engineering
from the University of Michigan. He is
employed as an options trader on the
Chicago Board of Options Exchange for
Letco DPM in Chicago.
An August wedding is planned at
Adat Shalom Synagogue.

Bernhold-Galison

Heather Lynn Galison and
Christopher James Bernhold were
recently married in Las Vegas, Nev.
The bride is the daughter of Rita
Galison of West Bloomfield and Barry
Galicon of Boca Raton, Fla. The
groom is the son of Frank and Nancy
Millen of Las Vegas and Terry and
Priscilla Bernhold of London, Ky.
Jen Connell and Alicia Bradford,

close friends of the bride, were matrons
of honor. Ronald Bernhold, brother of
the groom, was the best man; Brian
Galison, brother of the bride, was
groomsman. Also participating in the
wedding party was Corinne White,
grandmother of the groom.
The newlyweds are living in Oak
Grove, Ky., where the groom is sta-
tioned at Fort Campbell Army Base.

Anniversaries

Alumit-Zeldes

Hermogenes and Dr. Evelyn Alumit
of Flint announce the engagement of
their daughter Dr. Geraldine Marie
Alumit to Dr. Steven Scott Zeldes,
son of Martin and Beverly Zeldes of
West Bloomfield.
Geraldine earned a bachelor of arts
degree in English and communication
at the University of Michigan Ann.
Arbor, a master's degree in journalism
at Indiana University Bloomington
and a doctor of philosophy in mass
communication at Michigan State
University. She is a visiting professor

and instructor at MSU as well as a
freelance TV and print reporter.
Steve earned a bachelor of science
degree in physiology at MSU and a
doctor of medicine degree at Wayne
State University Medical School. He
then interned at William Beaumont
Hospital in Royal Oak. Last year, he
completed his ophthalmology residen-
cy at Indiana University medical cen-
ter. Steve is a cornea and refractive fel-
low with Price Vision group in
Indianapolis.
A September wedding is planned.

Karbel 60th

Carl and Evelyne Karbel of Southfield
recently celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary at a dinner. Their children
are Steven and Susan of Naples, Fla.,
Paul and Penni of Brighton, Brian and

Kerry of West Bloomfield. Grandsons
are Jamie, Jason, Andy and Justin.
Many family members also attended
this very special event.
