Dr. and Mrs. Emile Bendit of
Baltimore announce the engagement
of their daughter Rachel to Mark
Bernstein, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Bernstein of West Bloomfield.
Ms. Bendit earned a bachelor of
arts at the University of Michigan, a
master's of education at Loyola
University and is studying law' at
Cardozo School of Law in New York
City. Prior to attending law school,
Rachel served as a JCSC/Steinhardt
Fellow at the University of Michigan
Hillel and worked with children of

domestic violence survivors at House
of Ruth in Baltimore.
Mr. Bernstein earned a bachelor of
arts, juris doctor and a master's of
business administration at the
University of Michigan. Mark served
as the director of press pool operations
at the White House during the
Clinton administration and now
works as an investment banker in
New York City.
A June wedding is planned at Beth
Am Synagogue in Baltimore.

French Adler

Michele and Phil Iacobacci of
Encinitas, Calif, and Sherry. and Ron
Anctil of Las Vegas, Nev., are pleased
to announce the engagement of their
children Ilishia French and Cpl.
Steven Adler.
Ilishia is also the daughter of Gary
and Sheryl French of Maryland and
Sharon French of Florida. Steven is

also the son of Cantor Usher and
Sandy Adler of Oak Park.
Ilishia is employed in the retail
industry. Steven is a corporal in the
U.S. Marine Corps and is stationed at
Camp Pendelton, Calif. The couple
reside in Oceanside, Calif.
