Schroeder will address the annual
CHOICES fund-raising luncheon on
behalf of the Jewish Federation
Women's Campaign, 11 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb.
28, at Adat
Shalom
Synagogue.
Schroeder,
from Colorado,
co-chaired the
Congressional
Caucus on
Women's Issues
for 10 years, was
the first woman
to serve on the
Pat Schroeder
House Armed
Services
Committee and was a chair of the
House Select Committee on Children,
Youth and Families from 1991-1993.
A $218 woman's pledge to federa-
tion's 2001 annual campaign is
required to attend the event. There is
a $30 admission fee, which includes a
kosher lunch. The reservation deadline
is Feb. 2. Ford Motor Co. is under-
writing the program and Weight
Watchers is a sponsor.
Cheryl Guyer is chair of CHOIC-
ES; Joan Chernoff Epstein, associate
chair; and Barbara Kappy, adviser.
Women's Department president is
Paula Glazier; Nancy Grosfeld is cam-
paign chair.

Organ Donors
Focus Of Program

The Ruach and Mitzvah groups of
Greater Detroit Chapter of Hadassah
will present a program on the Jewish
perspective of organ and tissue dona-
tion 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at
Hadassah House, 5030 Orchard Lake
Road in West Bloomfield.
Speakers will include Rabbi
E.B.(Bunny) Freedman of the Jewish
Hospice and Chaplaincy Network,
spokespeople from the Gift of Life
Organization, organ recipients and
organ donor family members. There is
no charge for the event; refreshments
will be served.
