Call Debra Yamron, (248) 542-
4728 ... or Stephanie Ralph, (810)
905-0208 ... "Pepper was a great
school," says Debra, "Beginning
around fourth grade, families began to
move out of the neighborhood and we
easily lost touch."
If the interest is there, a Pepper
Elementary reunion should be a dandy.
ON THE DINING trail with rov-
ing reporters, Sharon Orbach and
Sharon Lesnick ... Their cooperative
evaluation of egg white omelets in the
metropolitan Detroit area brought an
amazement to them as to the numer-
ous variations discovered.
From flat to fluffy ... Folded and
stuffed with vegetables ... Unique
experiences were encountered.
Their initial search revealed Honey
Tree of Farmington Hills among the
tops, with none yet exceeding its taste
factor ... Other omelets of distinction,
according to them, were Gest Omelets
in Walled Lake, which Sharon 0.
loved, but Sharon L. thought was lack-
ing in flavor and not her choice, and
Farmington Coney Island (Leo's Coney
Island) in Farmington Hills, which
Sharon L. found tasty, but Sharon 0.
felt was wanting in this important fea-
ture ... At Leo's, fluffy was not an
option ... Only flat omelets are served.
On subsequent visits by the two
Sharons ... to Sunrise Cafe, Farmington
Hills; Sunny's, West Bloomfield; and
Andy's Cafe, Farmington Hills ... each
was found to have its own character ...
Sunrise was the fluffiest; Sunny's
seemed the more well-done; Andy's had
the most veggies.
RETIRED FORMER partner in
the Mariomax Salon at Crosswinds
Mall, Mario Bitonti, is spending the
winter in Maui, not the Caribbean ...
and doing a lot of windsurfing.
OLDIE BUT GOODIE Dept. ... A
woman went to the local psychic in
hopes of contacting her dearly depart-
ed grandmother.
The psychic's eyelids begin fluttering
and she starts moaning.
Eventually, a voice comes, saying,
"Granddaughter? Are you there?"
Wide-eyed, the granddaughter asks,
"Grandma? Is that you?
"Yes, granddaughter. It's me."
"It's really you, Grandma?" the
woman repeats.
"Yes, it's really me, granddaughter."
The woman pauses a moment.
"Grandma, I have just one question
for you."
"Anything, my child."
"When did you learn to speak
English?"
