Musical Director Henoch Kon served
in that capacity for numerous Yiddish
stage and film productions, while
Gershon Sirota, responsible for cantorial
music in the film, had performed as
tenor and cantor.
If the Detroit community shows a
strong interest in the film, the Shaarey
Zedek Cultural Commission will sched-
ule similar programs.

erature," Wilhelm says. "Because it's
from a culture that has been so
destroyed, it allows the spirit of a van-
ished world to live again." 111

The Dybbuk will be presented
