Bloomfield, died Oct. 27. She was a
member of Temple Beth El, a past
president of Brandeis University
Women, a past officer of the National
Council of Jewish Women and a
member of Hadassah.
Mrs. Steinberg is survived by her
husband of 59 years, Gerald
Steinberg; daughter and son-in-law,
Nancy and Harry Burman of Ohio;
son and daughter-in-law, Marc and
Laurie Steinberg of Dallas; grandchil-
dren, Julie and Darren Sapper, Wendy
Gossman, Jennifer Gossman, Melony
Burman, Avram Steinberg and
Alexandra Frankel; brother and sister-
in-law, Frederic and Frances
Marblestone of West Bloomfield;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,
Irving and Shirley Steinberg, Muriel
and Elihu Brooks.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be

CARL HERBERT ZIPPER, 91, of
White Lake, MI, died Oct. 19.
He is survived by his wife, Mary
Zipper of White Lake; son and
daughter-in-law, Richard S. and
Kathleen Zipper of Howell; daughter
and son-in-law, Shelly M. and
Richard Brooks of White Lake; broth-
er, Leo Evans of Los Angeles, Calif.;
grandchildren, Sue (Don) Sutton,
Marty Moss, Stacy and Dan
Schwartz, Rob (Julie) Zipper, Steven
(Diane) Zipper; great-grandchildren,
Haley and Wylie Sutton. He was the
beloved brother of the late Margaret
Wetsman.
A memorial service was held at the
Birmingham Temple in Farmington
Hills. Contributions may be made to

DORA STERN, 86, of West
Bloomfield, died Oct. 30.
She is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Marilyn Stern of
West Bloomfield, Carole and Saul
Borlack of West Bloomfield, Lorraine
and Gene Birdsall Stern of Palm City,
Fla.; grandchildren, Scott and Jamie
Borlack, Amber Moore. Mrs. Stern
was the beloved wife of the late Ben
Stern; loving sister of the late Jack
Zumberg, the late Lewis Zumberg,
the late Mary Goldsmith Trager, the
late Lillian Jacobs.

PROF. EDWARD MARTIN WISE,

62, of Grosse Pointe Park, died Oct.
27.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra
