KERI GUTEN COHEN SELECTED SEPTEMBER
EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

L

ike a professional juggler, Keri
Guten Cohen kept several balls
in the air during September, and
did so with notable aplomb.
Going the extra mile from her daily
responsibilities as story development
editor of the Jewish News, Keri also
coordinated and edited JN SourceBook
and helped coordinate and edit Voices
in Jewish Education II. Additionally, she
helped coordinate the Rosh Hashanah
cover package on synagogue renewal.

THE 2001 DEVILLE

"Keri handled all of her responsibilities
with a steady hand, keen insight and calm influence," said Editor Bob
Sklar. "She has built an excellent rapport with fellow staff members in
all departments because of a universal recognition that she truly cares
about quality as well as cooperation.

"She is easy to work with and takes a real interest in what others have
to say and what others feel, too," he added. "The Jewish News is a bet-
ter place because of her energy, integrity and skill."

Keri is one of the reasons the Jewish News is one of America's and
Michigan's most admired weekly papers.
