debate on school vouchers and their
impact on the Jewish community 9:30
a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at 15140 W. 10
Mile.
Debating will be David Gad-Harf,
executive director of the Jewish
Community Council, and Rabbi E.B.
(Bunny) Friedman of the Jewish
Hospice and Chaplaincy Network.
David Tanzman will moderate the
debate.

Life Skills
Courses Set
Jewish Association for Residential Care
and Jewish Vocational Services will host
the Nora and Guy Baron CLASS
(Community Learning And Special
Services) series 6:30-7:45 p.m.
Wednesdays at the JVS Building, 29699
Southfield Road, Southfield.
Courses offer an array of life skills for
adults with developmental disabilities.
Topics include building relationships,
entertaining friends, drawing and paint-
ing, exercise, first aid and a fashion class
for women.
The series will run September
through June. Each class costs 525 and
meets for six sessions. Admission is on a
first-come, first-served basis.

Israeli Folkdance
Classes Slated
Instruction in Israeli folkdance is avail-
able for adults and students at the
Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit's Kahn Building in
West Bloomfield.
The one-hour "Beginning Israeli
Folkdance," focusing on the basic steps,
meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
"Intermediate/Advanced Folkdance"
is a class held 7:30-10:45 p.m.
Wednesdays. It includes 45 minutes of
couple dances; no partner is needed.
Drop-in visits to either class are wel-
come at $5 per adult/$4 per student for
