Novi Middle School. He enjoys
music, contra-dancing, reading, acting
and playing the clarinet and alto-saxo-
phone. He has been involved with
Novi theaters for the last five years,
performing in several productions.
Bryan also is a first-class Boy Scout in
Troop 54 of Novi; he recently earned
the Jewish religious emblem, the Ner
Tamid.
Last summer, Bryan traveled to
Israel with his mother as part of the
Adat Shalom Family Mission led by
Rabbi Daniel Nevins.
As part of the 13 mitzvot program,
Bryan participated in the Jewish
Family Service fall cleanup, Adat
Shalom Bag Lunch Program for the
Homeless and Scouting for Food.
Through JFS, he helped an elderly
couple prepare their home for
Passover.
Bryan looks forward to continuing
his Hebrew education at Adat Shalom
as a zayin student and then moving on
to the Nosh 'n Drosh high school pro-
gram.

Jesse David Gross was called to the
Torah and led morning services at the
Tayelet overlooking
Jerusalem on July
10. He also celebrat-
ed his bar mitzvah
on Saturday, Aug.
19, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek B'nai
Israel Center.
Sharing in the
simcha were his par-
ents Judy and Arnie Gross, brother
Jonathan and sisters Lindsey and
Hannah. Proud grandparents are Jack
and Jeanette Gross, Connie Braun and
Harry Wallerstein.
Jesse is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills and his extra-curric-
ular interests include golf, skiing, bas-
ketball and camping.

her bat mitzvah during Havdala ser-
vices on Saturday,
Aug. 26, at Temple
Israel. She is the
daughter of Sheryl
and William
Isenstein and sister
of Ellery. Excited
grandparents are
