Jim Zack

Jim Zack of Franklin has been elect-
ed president of the board of direc-
tors for JARC (Jewish Association
for Residential
Care).
Zack, a long-
time JARC sup-
porter, has served
as vice president
of the board and
chaired JARC's
annual fund-rais-
ing event. Zack
also
serves as a

board member of
the Michigan
Jewish AIDS Coalition. He is a CPA
in Southfield.
Also elected at the meeting were
Stephanie Jacobson, Carol
Kaczander and Eli Scherr, vice presi
dents; Rebecca David, secretary, and
Ron Elkus, treasurer.
JARC board members chosen for
a second three-year term were Amy
Berlin, Rebecca David, Harriet
Gelfond, Dan Gilbert, Ronelle
Grier, Stephanie Jacobson, Robert
Kaplow, Daniel Medow and Bobbie
Miller. Serving a first three-year
term will be Jeffrey Cohen, Otto
Dube, Ronald Hodess, Beatrice
Howard, Lenny Hutton, Barbara
Jonas, Beth Mondry, Robert
Nusbaum, Michael Pitt and Karen
Kogan Rosenzweig.

ORT Men
Host Auction

The men of the Detroit Chapter of
American ORT are sponsoring their
annual Rub-a-Dub dinner auction
5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at the
home of Michelle and Linden
Nelson on Wing Lake.
The dress is casual. Items for the
silent auction will range in price.
Sportscaster Mike Stone is auction-
eer for the live auction. Items
include vacation packages, wine,
sports memorabilia, a shopping
spree and a strolling dinner for six.
The silent auction is 5:30-7 p.m.,
followed by dinner. The live auction
begins at 7:45 p.m. Tickets are $125
per person; seating is limited. All
profits will go to benefit ORT stu-
dents and schools in 60 countries
around the world.
