More great Jewish fami
spots on the Internet.

Elizabeth Applebaum
AppleTree Editor

L

ast week, AppleTree intro-
duced you to two fun Jew-
ish family Web sites and
you called asking for "more,
.
more, morel"
So take a look at some other
top spots (in no particular order)
on the Internet:

#1) THE ISRAEL MUSEUM:

at www.imj.org —
Cruising this site is a great
opportunity to visit a wonderful
museum — and you don't have
to pay the admission price or
speak in hushed tones.
Located in Jerusalem, the Israel
Museum may be most famous as
the home of the Dead Sea
Scrolls. But it also offers a great
collection of Jewish art, both tradi-
tional and modern, as well as

examples of Jewish culture
-1 throughout history.
When you click on the site,
look for the Judaica-Jewish
Ethnography Wing. Here, you
can read about, and see pictures
I of, exhibits such
as a Birds'
Head Habga-
da, Jewish cloth-
ing from around
the world, and
various ritual
objects like a
spice box and
mezuza case.
Note: Unless you're plan-
ning a visit to Israel in the
coming days, don't be
tempted by the museum's
Youth Wing section online.
It's mostly a listing of
upcoming events.
