Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Marc Stephen Dubowski will be called
to the Torah to celebrate his bar mitzvah
on Saturday, June 3,
at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Marc is
the son of Judith
Rudy and Clifford
Dubowski and broth-
er of Lance and Kurt.
He is the grandson of
Ann Rudy, Benedine
Dubowski, the late
Sol Rudy and the late Alex Dubowski.
A former student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit, Marc is
a seventh-grade honor student at
Clifford Smart Middle School in Walled
Lake. He enjoys skiing and soccer. Marc
plays baseball on a tournament travel
team.
For his mitzvah project, Marc volun-
teered to work with second-grade stu-
dents. He helped them improve their
reading of Hebrew at Congregation
Beth Achim religious school.

Shayna Alyson Farber will become a bat
mitzvah at Temple Israel on Friday, June
2. She is the daughter
of Nancy and Clem
Farber and sister of
Cheri, Adam and
James Farber and
Debra Bush and Kim
Filips. Happy grand-
mother is Joan
Charney. Shayna is
also the grandchild of
the late John Charney and the late Luba
and Nathan Farber.
An honor student at Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills, Shayna
enjoys dance, art, softball, golf, swim-
ming, reading, basketball and designing
greeting cards. Among her mitzvah pro-
jects, she donated clothes, books and
games to a needy family and volun-
teered at the Temple Israel Labor Day
picnic.

Perry Aaron Goldberg will become a
bar mitzvah at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek on Saturday,
June 3. He is the son
of Lisa and Steven
Goldberg and brother
of Ian and Jolie.
Proud grandparents
are Susan and Robert
Gans, Suzanne and
Harvey Schatz and
Harriet Goldberg.
Thrilled great-grandparents are Olga
Gans and Ida Winnick.
