Award in recogni-
tion of contribu-
tions to the medical
profession, the State
of Israel and the
Dr. Ellis Siefer
Detroit community.
Dr. Labes is a
physician in obstetrics/gynecology. After
an affiliation with Sinai Hospital, he is
now associated with Royal Oak's
Beaumont Hospital and has a continu-
ing association with Detroit's Sinai-
Grace hospital. He holds clinical
appointments at both Wayne State
University and the University of
Michigan. Dr. Labes has chaired the
Medical Professional Division of the
Allied Jewish Campaign and has served
as vice president of Jewish Apartments
and Services and Jewish Vocational
Service.
Dr. Siefer is an osteopathic physician

Shoah Survirors
Share Experiences

DMC Sinai Hospital's Program for
Holocaust Survivors in conjunction
with the Jewish Home and Aging
Services will conduct a new support
group for Holocaust survivors 1-3 p.m.
Wednesday, May 31, at the Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield.
. Survivors will get together to talk
with one another about issues related
to being a survivor at this time in their
lives. There is no charge; refreshments
will be served.
Additionally, an ongoing support
group for survivors meets every
Monday at 10 a.m. at the Jewish
Community Center in Oak Park.
Holocaust survivors interested in either
the West Bloomfield or Oak Park
groups should contact Dr. Charles
Silow, (248) 356-6668, or Melissa
Gadd, (248) 661-2999.
