Brothers' steaks and chops ... and
works with Angelo and Sam in over-
seeing the menu ... with its 15 appe-
tizers ... three homemade soups ...
nine salads ... five burgers ... 15 Italian
dishes ... six Greek selections ... eight
seafood favorites ... seven char-broiled
meats ... eight desserts (including
homemade rice pudding, made fresh
daily with real vanilla and cream ...
American food, like stir-fry, pan-fried
liver, etc. ... and a children's menu.
The food is wholesome and good
... nothing fancy ... Dimitri's
Brothers take a lot of pride in the
restaurant's cleanliness ... which has,
in no small measure, made it a
Farmington standout.
The biggest thing ... at least for
Korina Anastasiou ... isn't that most of
her recipes from Chalkis, Greece are
being used ... but that.they are a big
reason behind Dimitri's Brothers' suc-
cess ... with her two sons finally
together in the restaurant business
for the first time.
THE ENSEMBLE had Larry
Miller singing and dancing ...
Choreography was by Susan Bonin
And Vicki Fingeroot's Events &
Entertainment in Southfield trans-
formed Compuware Sports Arena in
Plymouth into a French theatrical
theme ... as it produced the very
entertaining Phantom at the Institute.
It was for the recent Barbara Ann
Karmanos Cancer Institute's 18th
annual dinner ... attended by 1,300
people who enjoyed the fine show ...
and the large selection of hors d'oeu-
vres ... and dinner by Andy Stylianou,
Tommy Peristeris' nephew; and Peter
Ginopolis4r., son of Johnny
Ginopolis.
Home of the Plymouth Whalers in
the Ontario Hockey League is where
Andy and Peter have their Ginopolis'
Parthenon restaurant and catering
operations.
Everybody knew each other at our
table ... Beatrice Elkin, Harry Krause,
Dolores and Seymour Brode, Edna
and Phil Minkin and Jane and Jack
Solomon.
"I couldn't find pants to fit, so wore
a skirt," said a 6-foot-8 foot guest in
Scottish kilts ... Mort Zieve a juggler
as he maneuvered two plates of hors
d'oeuvres through the crowd for him-
self and wife Mary Lou ... Mary Lou
again presented the Leonard N.
Simons Volunteer Award honoring her
father each year ... 2000 recipients
were Bernice Gershenson and the late
Sylvia Gershenson Sloman ... Marty
and Cis Kellman saying hellos galore
