Space is unlike
that at its predeces-
sor, the former
Envoy Cafe, where
everyone was
jammed into one
room ... Taking
over another area
next door in Simsbury Plaza has
afforded a roominess that seats people
more comfortably ... The original
room seats about 55 at booths and
tables ... plus more at an L-shaped
bar with 12 stools and two tall four-
top tables ... A no-smoking main
dining sector has seating for another
80 ... Dining is permitted at all seats,
including the bar.
This is a very clean restaurant ...
with little fanciness of decor ... and
certainly no ridiculous decoration
attempts at telling people it is an
Italian restaurant ... Here food is the
thing ... and Sposita's seems to make
a strong statement that if good Italian
food at good prices are what people
want ... this is what they'll get.
The chow at Sposita's is quite
uncomplicated...simple and sensible
... Nothing fancy ... Frill-laden dish-
es at some places have little in-
between ... They are either accepted
or not.
Good down-to-earth Italian food
is a well-proven product ... It's what
almost everyone who enjoys Italian
fare wants most of all ... And this is
what Sposita's is doing ... satisfying
people's desires ... at sensible dinner
prices.
Joe, Lois and Tony Sposita are
pleasing customers ... and giving
them what they want ... No one can
ask for more ... And seeing the cus-
tomers come back, is no doubt mak-
ing the Sposita family a very happy
trio.
