ADA MOISEEV, 78, of Southfield,
died May 7. She graduated from
Central High
School and
worked as a secre-
tary for what is
now the Detroit
office of the
Federal Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco
and Firearms and
also for the Jewish
Ada Moisiev
Community
Center.
She stopped working while raising
her three children and later joined her
husband, a pharmacist, behind the
counter of Supreme Drugs Pharmacy
on Hayes in Detroit.
Mrs. Moiseev was an avid mah-
jongg player who played with the
same group weekly for 40 years. She
was active with ORT, B'nai B'rith
and the AZO fraternity.
Mrs. Moiseev is survived by her
husband of 52 years, Nathan
Moiseev; daughter, Judge Susan
Moiseev of Southfield; sons and
daughters-in-law, Neil and Anne
Moiseev of New Jersey, Andrew and
Marla Moiseev of Huntington
Woods; grandchildren, Laura,
Robert, David and Hannah
Moiseev; brothers and sisters-in-law,
Morris and Renee Rochlin of
Franklin, Rubin Rochlin; brother-
in-law, Max Moiseev of Alabama.
Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions may

HYMAN "HY" POLIAT, 89, of
New Mexico, died April 25. He was
a counselor at the Michigan
Employment Security Commission
and a member of Birmingham
Temple.
Mr. Poliat is survived by his wife,
Nell Poliat; sister, Esther Poliat of
Birmingham.
Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions may
be directed to a charity of one's

SANFORD "SANDY" ROTH, 68,
of West Broomfield, died April 28.
A founding partner of Roth Dean
and Kohl, Mr. Roth was also a
member of the State
Bar of Michigan
and Florida, the
Oakland County
Bar Association and
the Michigan and
American Trial
Lawyers
Association. He was
Sanford Roth
also a past presi-
dent of Centennial
chapter of B'nai B'rith.
Mr. Roth was an avid boater at
Great Lakes Yacht Club and he
enjoyed traveling, entertaining and
sports. He was diagnosed with Lou
Gehrig's disease in April 1998 and
participated in two research studies
attempting to find a treatment for
this illness at Northwestern
University and the University of
Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Judy
Roth; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr.
Bruce and Stacie Roth of West
Bloomfield, Dr. Brian and Vicki
Roth of West Bloomfield; daughter
and son-in-law, Lisa and Dr. Mark
Rosenberg of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Eden, Michael and
Elijah Roth, Alexander and Ryan
Rosenberg; sisters and brothers-in-
law, Marilyn and Daniel Feldman
and Rosalie and Harold Dean; sis-
ter-in-law Beverly Banovitz; father-
in-law, Leonard Banovitz.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be

MICHEL ISAAC SABBAGH, 75,
of St. Clair, died May 4.
He is survived by his wife,
